Quinta da Ria Golf Course was the first of two 18-hole golf courses in a spectacular location on the coast of the eastern Algarve, known locally as 'Sotavento'. Quinta da Ria, situated in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, has already been described by experienced golfers as the most breathtaking golf course in the Region. In fact, there will be no houses, or villas, or apartments to distract you from your game: just you and a breathtaking nature. A nice open golf course, very thick rough, lower edges bunkers and some water coming in to play on some holes. (...)
Quinta de Cima Course shows itself as a very competitive golf course with dog-legs to the right and the left and greens well protected by sand hazards and lakes. A stream with dams and permanent flowing water crosses several holes. On the other Driving Range, designed to practice with irons, there is the Robinson Golf Academy. (...)
The Quinta do Vale golf course, which has been designed with the interests of the adjacent property complex in mind, is sure to attract golfers of every level and is a strong candidate for hosting important international championships. Covering an area of 75 hectares, the course is fully integrated into the surrounding natural landscape, taking full advantage of the irregularities of the terrain which give a unique personality to each of the 18 holes.|The ambition with which it was designed is evident in the unusual way that the different holes balance each other out and in the singular features which complement and differentiate them: embankments, lakes, bunkers, hillocks, hollows…. A highly attractive course which is characterised by various levels of difficulty that will be a challenge to beginners and test the skill of more experienced players. (...)
