Vale do Lobo Royal
Royal Golf Course at Vale do Lobo resort, has rolling fairways set amidst pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wild flowers. Its features include the almost island green of the 9th and the famous 16th, with cliff-top carryover - one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world, which has become the veritable symbol of golf in the Algarve.|The Royal Golf Course was designed by top American golf architect Rocky Roquemore, based on original drawings made by Sir Henry Cotton. It was inaugurated in 1997.

Course is in great condition, tees, fairways and green all great. The course needs some benches added at the tees, as it can be busy and it would be nice to be able to sit down while waiting to tee off.

The staff were very accommodating again today. Finding us two te times on the Royal Course when we were booked at The Ocean due to the bad weather. We therefore got to play 18 holes. It was wet but it was to be expected. The greens were still good and we had a good round taking all the circumstances into account. We will be back.

Always play a round here and once again didn’t disappoint. Course in very good condition. Pace very good (4 ball just over 4 hours). 16th par 3 over the cliffs - worth playing just for that. Will play again.

*Comments - Excellent course, one of Algarve's best
