Laguna Vilamoura Golf Course
Laguna Vilamoura is Joseph Lee's design for Vilamoura, opened in 1990 on reclaimed marshland as part of the original 27-hole Vilamoura III complex. When the Millennium Vilamoura course was carved out of that same site in 2000, Laguna settled into the 18 holes it plays today, laid out over low-lying coastal ground in the heart of the resort.
It's the odd one out among Vilamoura's courses: few trees, open ground, and a links feel across several holes. Par 72, 6,121 metres from the white tees, with lakes shaping play on eleven of them; those same lakes double as a habitat for otters, terrapins and migrating birds, and sit close to the Vilamoura Environment Nature Park. Add 79 bunkers and a wind that rarely lets up on this exposed site, and accuracy matters more than length. The 9th is the signature hole.
The clubhouse is shared with the neighbouring Millennium Vilamoura course, and the resort adds a driving range, academy, restaurant and snack bar, locker room and pro shop. Book a round at the Vilamoura course built to play differently from the rest.

Laguna Golf Course was a real surprise and far better than we expected. We had originally viewed it as a warm-up round before playing some of the higher-ranked courses in the area, but it quickly proved to be much more than that.
The course was in excellent condition from tee to green, with a fantastic layout that was both enjoyable and challenging. Every hole felt well thought out, making for a memorable round. What really stood out, however, was the service. The staff were friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout the day, helping to create a great overall experience.
We wouldn't hesitate to play Laguna again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. A superb course that exceeded our expectations.

The staff at Laguna were superb. From the check-in to the stater it was 10/10. Restaurant staff were not just to that standard but totally acceptable.
The course was in fantastic condition although there is ongoing work to the cart paths but not an issue as you can drive in the fairways. The greens are very fast compared to Millenium but a different challenge and a good contrast. I would thoroughly recommend the course and Teetimes.pt

Excellent service and the course with all the facilities. Very heavy and wet sand during superdry conditions. Unfortunate timing for buggy paths under repair which is understandable.
