A difficult course with bunkers protecting most greens. Trees also get in the way, accuracy is paramount. The fairways and greens are in good condition. The worst part was the slow play, we were in a 2 ball with a buggy but the 4 ball in front (who it transpired were members) were painfully slow and never allowed us to 'play through', an absolute disgrace. The bar also suffered the same fate, service was appalling, we had a 'quick' drink (having waited an age to be served) and decided to forego food. Not recommended as a course.

A very deceiving course. First impression is a simple easy to play course, as soon as you start you'll find it is not an easy course at all. We had a very good round, despite the fact that pace of play was very slow.

Booking a teetime at 8:20 am Spanish time, when your customers staying in Portugal which is one hour behind, was not a good idea. When we corrsed the boarder at 7::30 we recognized that In Spain its already 8:30. Lukely the reception in Isla Canela has been very flexible and customer friendly and we have been able to tee off at 9:00 with a very nice couple. Recolemdation pls. consider the time zones esp. in the case of cross boarder situations.

The condition of the course was average and the design is less interesting than others in the area. As a golf resort it was very busy on our visit we had a very slow round of golf. Probably not a course to choose for a further visit when we next visit the area.

A decent course for the money. Not too tough generally but there are a few testing holes to challenge your game. I played it off the whites and still managed to play it under my handicap the first time of playing it. Would definitely be back to play it again.

A decent course near Ayamonte. It is very flat so walking around is easy, no buggies needed. The greens are well maintained and the fairways lush. Not a spectacular golf course, no signature holes to speak of but plenty of water and trees to make it a challenge.

Dear Tamar MARTINS? I enjoyed the design of the course, the maintenance and the disponibillity of the staff. But I did't , at all, appreciate the solwness of the game. A person of the precedent party ( Norvegians people ) did't have her place on the course; because both, very, very, very slow and insufficient level to be on a golf course !! I think that somebody could control the ranking level of the players. I study to be installed in this aera and play all the year, golf. But I'll not buy an annual teetimes at Isla Canela, and I am sorry about this point. So, thank you you again to teetimes.pt. Best regards Thierry MACE

Nice course very well kept, but wish reception would stick to clients booking times they tend to say just play now to everyone!! This lead to 3 groups waiting at the first not a good start as we had to wait at just about every hole.

Isla Canela is in outstanding condition. A great test of golf with tree lined fairways which makes it a little tight from the tee. Greens are absolutely magnificent and very very quick. Alll in all a great golf course and outstanding value for money.

This is also a hidden gem, or may be not so hidden anymore as there were lots of players there. Value for money is unbeatable and it is achallenging course with good, fast greens.

We found the staff here very nice as well, they gave us umbrellas going out in the rain, which cleared up after about two hours, at least we got in dry. Not too sure about the course, maybe would have enjoyed it better, on a fine day, as there was water logged every where. Buggies were not allowed out on the day.
