Oceânico O'Connor Golf Course, perfectly complements the Faldo Course, whilst taking advantage of the rich valley soil, in contrast to the arid hillside, this course offers no less of a challenge, requiring accurate play.|The front 9 holes encounter a number of lakes, the 3rd being recognized by a Moorish relic situated on a island in the adjacent lake. Holes 7, 8 and 9 offer a particular challenge, where the water hazards could force a lack of concentration. Hole-10 leads play away from the northern boundary, setting up the challenge for the inward nine. Large bodies of water and meandering watercourses will test players all the way to the 18th.
The course has gone down in the last few years since I played it last. Tee boxes were in very poor condition overgrown with weeds. With scutch grass growing through the normal grass. Fairways fair and greens not too bad. Overall it is not up to standard. Clubhouse and general staff a bit nonchalant. Overall I wont be back to either Faldo or o'Connor and I would not recommend either at the price.
Course, greens and tees to a high standard, was the best of the 4 courses we played, one negative was the beer was off, unusually for us no-one finished their pint
Greens in excellent condition. Poor tee areas. Course maintenance not great. Very nice clubhouse, good club sandwiches.
Fairways and greens in good condition but tee box in pretty bad shape. I liked the course (1st visit) and would consider playing there again. GPS on buggy was not working and it seems the case on all buggies. Quite a shame.
Still a very good course and we both loved playing it
Nice track. Flat, very playable. Greens a bit slow but good
Very impressive course and facilities.
The course and greens were excellent but some of the bunkers were poor
The course is nice and well maintained but it took us more than 5 hours to complete our round. No Marshall on the course to speed up to groups of slow playing youngsters in front of us
Green’s excellent a bit tired elsewhere
Typical resort course, not one you would play weekly
Good toughwell designed and mintained golf course everyone in the group liked it. Service attitude of staff not good. The admin staff were fine at checkin. The restaurant sfaff did not show any interest in good service.
