Oceânico O'Connor Golf Course, perfectly complements the Faldo Course, whilst taking advantage of the rich valley soil, in contrast to the arid hillside, this course offers no less of a challenge, requiring accurate play.|The front 9 holes encounter a number of lakes, the 3rd being recognized by a Moorish relic situated on a island in the adjacent lake. Holes 7, 8 and 9 offer a particular challenge, where the water hazards could force a lack of concentration. Hole-10 leads play away from the northern boundary, setting up the challenge for the inward nine. Large bodies of water and meandering watercourses will test players all the way to the 18th.

On arrival the reception were excellent very helpful good quality buggy course was in fair condition small complaint it was over busy five hours for a round with all players and buggies

We played both courses at Amendoeira and both were challenging especially with the wind on the O'Connor course. The course was imaculate and the greens were excellent. The whole complex is brilliant with great freindly staff from the greeting at reception to the bar staff after the game. We will definately return to this great venue.

Different to Faldo, but also not too easy. More flat but challaging distances. Well improving. Very good maintgreens, fairways and bunkers. Automated mowers are supporting.

The course is in good condition with a nice layout. The greens were fast and true. The staff of the whole course was very friendly. Only the playing time is too long. With a marshall to speed up it would be a nine.
