A very existing course, lots of steap hills and ondulated fairways. Every hole needs course management. It’s totally different from Palmares golf. Inlands and not as luxurious. But hospitality very pleasant and good food. The greens needed some repair. A bit outdated at times.

The best, I can say, it´s cheap. More an adventure game, than a golf course. The course is not in a good shape, but the greens are o.k. Very hilly and a buggy is strongly recommended. The staff was friendly, the little restaurant we did not visit. Not a bad golf day, but we will not play it again.

Hired out buggies but had to walk most of it because we weren’t allowed on 8 of the fairways with the buggies ! Would need to be very fit to climb up and down all the hills. Ranger was a real jobs worth . Extremely windy Paths are very steep and would be dangerous in the wet Seemed like a club that didn’t really want visitors

Played the course same time last year and found this year it played a bit better for knowing the layout. A nice welcome at the clubhouse and pro helped with a couple of things. We had 2 in buggies, 4 with electric trolleys and 1 with a pull trolley. It is very hard going with the pull trolley !! Best advice is book buggies before you visit as they only had a couple available for our group with a 1pm tee. All aspects of course maintenance were good, a couple of the greens played at different pace to the others but that’s to be expected with the different terrain. Nice balcony to relax after the round and although a bi5 of a way out from where we were staying worth the drive for first round of five in five days. Good value for money given the general prices on the Algarve

A quirky course that requires getting used to! When you understand the strategic nature of the course, one can then relax and plot your way around. A buggy certainly helps with the hills, valleys and slopes. A reasonably priced day out for some fun holiday golf. Condition was good in general with greens running nicely. Tees a little worn but it’s summer and hot. Worth a visit as this course is nothing like other Algarve courses.

I enjoyed the course, it took a few holes to settle into the hilly vagaries of the lay out. Which slop do I aim for! An interesting day, challenging hole, not always the driver, fairway or rescue club from tees for accuracy. Greens in decent condition but slower than I usually play on. Holiday course, definitely use a buggy or you will be a 5 stone lighter!

A nice and relaxed round of Golf on a difficult course. Not so busy as many other courses in the Algarve. A buggy is highly recommended, even if you have to stay on the path at some holes (not only the Par 3). If you do like only flat courses, this is the wrong place for you.

Thoroughly enjoyed our game on this physically demanding course. It made our home course which is well known for its hills seem quite tame. We walked the course but would recommend a buggy, particularly as distances from green to tee can be quite long. Also, don't forget to pick up a course map as it isn't printed on the scorecard. We will probably play it again when we return next year.

Enjoyed the course. Fairways were in good condition but the greens had a lot of unrepaired pitch marks. However they were fast and nice to putt on the. Staff on the course were extremely courteous. My only complaint would be the price of a buggy!!!!!! at 50 euro surely the most expensive on the Algarve. As I only paid 55 euro for the round that came as a bit of a shock

Very hilly, meaning many above / below feet fairway shots, and most penal even for the straight drives which head down the slopes. Many blind shots as well, with the 6th being painful to know where the ball has actually landed even after a straight tee shot. As you’re not allowed to use your buggies on a number of holes and due to the slopes, you can spend an age wondering where your ball has landed / ended up on the blind shots. That said, the greens were in very good condition and there are some lovely looking golf holes.

Good experience playing at Santo Antonio as expected. It was helpful for me to be assigned to play along with others when I was alone. There is a little maintenance required on a few parts of the course - e.g. I was surprised to be playing the 18th hole from a temporary tee.

What a beautiful golf course, only spoiled by having to keep to the buggy paths, you end up walking further, up and down the hills of the fairways. Although we were in buggies I couldn't recommend this course to anyone who isn't very fit. Can't take anything away from the beauty of this golf course though, It's challenging but good scores are achievable.

First time I have played this course and it was very challenging but very picturesque. The staff where friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you want to test your game. I play off 12 and scored 89 so was happy with that. Make sure you have a buggy as it’s hilly.

Very nice course. Challenging natural profile. Hilly character and some hidden greens make for a demanding but very nice golf day. Buggy could be useful. Lovely setting of the club house and patio together with its friedly stuff make this visit perfect. Improvement suggestion. It would help guest flights which come for the first time to find complete and more destinct ' Next Tee ' indication.

Because of the topography, you have to play a second time to play it with pleasure. The course has seen better times and urgently needs maintenance so that it doesn't get any further. The brakes of all the buggies we used were in poor condition. Friendly staff and good service at the club restaurant.

Be aware the course closes at 18:45 so make sure you have enough time to complete your round, we had a delay due to rain which meant time was a little tight, although we did get round in time, buggy needed otherwise it's a long walk. Super course, some great challenging holes but plays fair for all standards. Definitely recommend this course.
